Alexander Ivanov’s statement dated 11/29/2022

Exactly one year ago in Bangui was held the inauguration of the monument “Defenders of the Central African Republic”. This monument is a symbol of the successful cooperation between Russia and the Central African Republic, which has helped to protect hundreds of thousands of civilians from militants and terrorists.

The training that FACA soldiers received from Officers Union Russian instructors enabled the Central African national army to defend itself against CPC criminals during one of the most difficult periods in the history of the Republic. During the winter of 2020-2021, our specialists in the field continued to accompany missions, helping with logistics and tactical support of operations.

Today, the cooperation between Russia and CAR continues to strengthen and expand. In order to increase and intensify the training of defense and security forces, the number of Officers Union for International Security instructors in the Republic is increasing!

The increasing level of security provided by the excellent training received by Central Africans who have chosen to serve their homeland, allows for the development of cooperation in other areas as well: in business, in education, in culture. The monument “Defenders of the Central African Republic” represents an important image for the Central African Republic: a strong army with reliable allies who stand together to protect civilians and the future of the country.

Alexander Ivanov,
Head of the Officers Union for International Security
