Alexander Ivanov’s statement dated 02/18/2022

Yesterday, French President Emmanuel Macron, during a press conference, aired a blatant defamation against the Russian instructors, accusing them of mercenarism (a criminal act according to the criminal code of the Russian Federation) and plundering of resources, as well as crimes against the civilian population. Defamation, especially at this level, must not go unpunished, which is why, after consultation with the lawyers, I have decided to take legal action to claim and protect honor and dignity and to request compensation of one million euros, which will be intended to help the African population affected by French neocolonialism.

The lawyers will also prepare a statement on the initiation of a criminal case against M. Macron under Article 128.1 part 5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, under which he faces up to 5 years of imprisonment. We also will file an appeal to the Russian Foreign Ministry, who is responsible for defending the rights of citizens of the Russian Federation, to encourage them to send a note of protest to M. Macron in connection with the spread of defamation against the citizens of Russia.

Alexander Ivanov,
Head of the Officers Union for International Security
