Alexander Ivanov’s statement dated 08/13/2022

Today, the Central African Republic celebrates an important date: exactly 62 years ago, the Central African Republic gained independence from France, a former colonial power.

For the Central African Republic, independence was the beginning of a long struggle for autonomy and sovereignty. It is now, thanks to the high-class work of the defense and security forces trained by instructors of the Officers Union it was possible to stabilize the situation in the country and bring the long-awaited peace, a new chapter begins in the history of the CAR. Now it is the CAR that is at the forefront of the African awakening, showing other African countries the way to true independence and sovereignty.

Relations between our states are developing dynamically in the spirit of strategic partnership. I am sure that in the future we will observe the strengthening of constructive partnerships in the interests of ensuring stability and security in the country and the region for the benefit of friendly peoples.

Today I want to sincerely congratulate every inhabitant of this amazing country and wish peace to your home and health to your families!
